China's Foreign Trade Grows

China's foreign trade volume in the first 11 months of this year reached 462.77 billion US dollars, up 7.4 percent from the same period of last year, according to the latest figures from the Chinese customs.

China's foreign trade volume in the first 11 months of this year reached 462.77 billion US dollars, up 7.4 percent from the same period of last year, according to the latest figures from the Chinese customs.

Of the total, export increased by 6.3 percent to 241.57 billion U.S. dollars and import rose by 8.6 percent to 221.2 billion U.S. dollars, leaving a surplus of 20.37 billion U.S. dollars.

In November alone, total foreign trade volume grew 2.4 percent to 44.85 billion U.S. dollars, with export up 8.4 percent to 24 billion U.S. dollars and import down 3.7 percent to 20.85 billion U.S. dollars.

The trade surplus in November was 3.15 billion U.S. dollars.
