China Supports Nepal to Maintain Unity, Stability
China supports those urgent measures taken by King Gyanendra and the Nepalese government to maintain state unification, solidarity and stability, Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan said Saturday in Beijing.

Tang made the remarks when talking on the phone with Sher Bahadur Deupa, Nepalese prime minister and minister for foreign affairs. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern.
Deupa briefed Tang on the latest domestic situation of Nepal, saying that the Nepalese government has taken necessary measures to combat terrorists, and the internal situation is stable.
Tang said China opposes terror in Nepal as well as terrorism in any forms. He expressed the belief that Nepal will continue to maintain the situation of peace, stability and development under the leadership of the King and the Nepalese government and the Sino-Nepalese friendship, based on the five principles of peaceful co-existence, will be further promoted.
