China, Britain Train Peace-Keeping Police

The Regional Civilian Policing Training-the-Trainers Course, co-sponsored by China and Britain, ended Friday in Beijing.

The Regional Civilian Policing Training-the-Trainers Course, co-sponsored by China and Britain, ended Friday in Beijing.

Sixteen police officers from Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and China participated in the three-week intensive training to prepare them for United Nations peace-keeping missions.

The training course was held according to consensus between theforeign ministries of China and Britain.

Both Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Qiao Zonghuai and British Ambassador to China Anthony Charles Galsworthy attended the closing ceremony.
