Chinese Vice Premier Meets Macedonian Guests
The Chinese government has attached importance to its relations with Macedonia, and would like to promote Sino- Macedonian relations on the basis of the communiques on the establishment and normalization of the diplomatic ties between the two countries, Qian said.
Chinese Vice Premier Qian Qichen met Friday with Jordan Boshkov, chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of Assembly of Macedonia, and his party.
Qian said that the Chinese government has attached importance to its relations with Macedonia, and would like to promote Sino- Macedonian relations on the basis of the communiques on the establishment and normalization of the diplomatic ties between the two countries.
He said that both Chinese National People's Congress and Macedonian Assembly play an important role in the political life of each nation, voicing his belief that Boshkov's China visit would promote the cooperation between the two parliaments and the relations between the two countries.
He said that the Chinese government is pleased to see the peaceful agreement reached by all relevant parties of Macedonia, hoping that the Balkan region could maintain peace and stability.
Boshkov expressed gratitude for the support by China in the United Nations and other international organizations. He said that Macedonian and China have maintained sound cooperation in the economic and trade fields, and Macedonia hopes to further bilateral cooperation in the scientific, cultural and educational fields.
