Archeologists Uncover Well-preserved Ancient Corpse

Some experts from Jiangxi Archaeology Academy and Jiangxi Medicine Institute give close inspect to a well-preserved body of a woman dated back to Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), which was unearthed in Nanchang, capital city of central China's Jiangxi Province Wednesday, December 5, 2001.

Some experts from Jiangxi Archaeology Academy and Jiangxi Medicine Institute give close inspect to a well-preserved body of a woman dated back to Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), which was unearthed in Nanchang, capital city of central China's Jiangxi Province Wednesday, December 5, 2001.

With a height of 155 cm, the body is wrapped in silk garment and crested with gold coronet. According to Fan Changsheng, head of Jiangxi Archaeology Academy, it will be one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the past decade in Jiangxi Province.
