A serious landslide that hit the Three Gorges site in central China's Hubei Province on December 1 has been kept under control.
Sources said that 136 residents of 53 families dwelling in the landslide area had been removed from the site safely.
The accident occurred in Zigui county, 30 km away from the upper reach of the Three Gorges Dam. It resulted in huge cracks onthe mountain and a slide of some 300,000 cubic meters of mountain massif.
