CPPCC Members' Painting, Calligraphy Exhibited in Macao

A batch of painting and calligraphic works by 25 members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) were exhibited Monday in Macao, as part of the activities to celebrate the 2nd anniversary on Macao's return to the motherland.

A batch of painting and calligraphic works by 25 members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) were exhibited Monday in Macao, as part of the activities to celebrate the 2nd anniversary on Macao's return to the motherland.

The exhibits include pieces of traditional Chinese painting, oil painting and calligraphy, which will add a festival atmosphereto Macao, said Ho Lai Chun, president of the cultural institute ofthe special administrative region (SAR) government.

She said the event will help strengthen the cultural exchanges between Macao and China's inland.

Chief Executive Edmund Ho Hau Wah of the Macao SAR and Ma Man Kei, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the inauguration ceremony for the exhibition.
