Sihanouk Leaves for Medical Check in Beijing

Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk, accompanied by Queen Monineath Sihanouk, left Phnom Penh Monday morning for Beijing for a regular medical check.

At the airport here, Sihanouk told Chinese Ambassador Ning Fukui that he had a high regard to China for its invitation for him to Beijing for a medical check.

Senate President Chea Sim, Prime Minister Hun Sen and other senior officials, as well as foreign diplomats here, saw the king and the queen off at the airport.
