China, Vietnam to Learn from Each Other: CPPCC Chairman
Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said Saturday that China and Vietnam are expected to learn from each other in the reform and opening-up drive and jointly explore correct ways of development.

Li, also member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remark in his meeting with Nong Duc Manh, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
Li affirmed the achievements made by China and Vietnam in socialist construction. "Historically and geographically, China and Vietnam are friendly neighbors. Ideologically, both of them believe in Marxism," he said.
He stressed that the further consolidation and development of party-to-party and state-to-state relationship is of great significance.
He said that he expects the two sides to proceed bilateral exchanges and cooperation in view of long-term interests of the two sides and push forward the growth of the bilateral ties.
Li said that the CPPCC will further its contacts with Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the better mutual understanding and trust between the two countries and two peoples.
Manh said that CPPCC is an organ with rich working experiences in unifying and motivating the Chinese people in economic construction and VFF hopes to strengthen cooperation with CPPCC in many fields.
Manh also presented a wreath to the Monument of People's Heroes.
