Senior Party Leader on Reinforcing Party Building
A senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has called for an all-out effort to promote Party building according to CPC Central Committee General Secretary Jiang Zemin's thinking of "Three Represents".
Hu Jintao, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, made the remark Friday at the closing ceremony of a training course for a group of provincial and ministerial level officials held by the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.
Hu Urged Officials to Do Better Job
In his speech, Hu, also president of the school, urged leading officials at different levels to be clear-minded and do a good job in every undertaking.
Hu stressed that the key to the success of economic and other undertakings next year lies in further strengthening and improving Party building.
Hu said the whole Party should be unified further with the thinking of "Three Represents", a theory that the CPC represents the requirement to develop advanced productive forces, an orientation towards advanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people of China.
Hu Highlighted Importance of Party Building
He emphasized the importance of training young cadres, describing it as a strategic program affecting the lasting stability of the Party and state.
Efforts should be made to prevent and reverse the unhealthy tendency in personnel promotion, Hu added.
