A Dutch agricultural delegation led by T. H. J. Joustra, vice minister of agriculture, started an investigative tour Thursday in Guizhou Province in southwest China.

The delegation will visit comprehensive land utilization projects in 15 impoverished villages, and seek projects for investment.

Joustra also donated 220,000 yuan Thursday to aid poverty elimination projects in Longli County. In 1997 when he also led a delegation to Guizhou, Joustra donated one million yuan to the same cause on behalf of the government of the Netherlands.

Mo Shiren, vice governor of Guizhou, met with the delegation Thursday night, and informed the guests of Guizhou's ecological building, infrastructure construction and agricultural development.
