Zhu Bangzao to be Ambassador to Tunisia
Zhu Bangzao, director and spokesman of the Information Department with the Foreign Ministry of China, confirmed lately that he is going to be ambassador to Tunisia as well as Palestine. Kong Quan, deputy director of the Department of West European Affairs, has been appointed to take over his current post.

That was Zhu's reply in response to a participant during the online interactions held by MFA.
Kong Quan is taking over his current position
When contacted, Zhou confirmed the news. He indicated his leaving the post is part of work requirement and his old friend Kong Quan will take over his post. He further added that he was still speaking in the spokesman's capacity when answering the question.
He stressed that it is a normal transfer and he feels honored for his new appointment.
