Thailand, China Enhance Scientific, Technical Cooperation

Krasae Chanawongse, minister to the Prime Minister's office of Thailand, emphasized Tuesday in Bangkok that scientific and technical cooperation between Thailandand China would help enhance their potentials to respond to the present economic and financial difficulties.

Krasae Chanawongse, minister to the Prime Minister's office of Thailand, emphasized Tuesday in Bangkok that scientific and technical cooperation between Thailandand China would help enhance their potentials to respond to the present economic and financial difficulties.

Karasae made a speech at the signing ceremony of the 16th Session of the Sino-Thai Joint Committee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

The two countries agreed to conduct 40 short-term exchange programs, two long-term joint research and development projects.

Krasae said that the success of the programs and activities wasnot only for the development of the two countries, but also for strengthening of their closer bilateral relationship.

Wu Zhongze, head of the Chinese delegation, stressed that if the two countries pay more attention and invest more in scientificand technical field, the economy of the two countries would develop much faster.
