Ethiopian Airlines to Launch Flight Route to Hong Kong

Ethiopian Airlines has decided to launch a twice weekly direct flight from Addis Ababa toHong Kong starting on January 1, 2002, the airlines said in a press release available here on Tuesday.

The airlines believed the flights will offer its customers a hub of the orient when many passengers are expected to fly to HongKong directly for recreation, tourism and business purposes, the press release said.

The flights will depart from Addis Ababa on Tuesday and Thursday with returns on Wednesday and Friday, according to the airlines.

The bilateral agreements have reportedly been undertaken for a considerable period of time to start the new route.

Ethiopian Airlines, one of the major airways in Africa, is flying 47 international routes and 40 domestic ones.
