Air France to Open New Shanghai-Paris Cargo Service
Air France (AF), France's leading air carrier, will soon launch a new Shanghai-Paris airline for cargo later this month, using Boeing 747s, according to sources at the Shanghai Office of AF.
With the new air route, AF will have three cargo flights between Shanghai and Paris per week, with a total cargo-handling capacity of 95 tons each flight, said the sources.

AF began cargo transportation to and from China in 1996.
Currently, AF has three flights for both passengers and cargo between Shanghai and Paris each week.
AF confident in China's economic development potential
Marc Boudier, AF president in charge of freight service, said during a recent visit to Shanghai that AF's determination to expand its Shanghai-Paris cargo route fully shows its confidence in China's economic development potential.
A brief on AF cargo
AF's freight service now ranks fifth in the world. It has established a global network providing cargo transportation to 411 destinations.
Last year, AF developed cooperation with major airline companies of the United States, Mexico and the Republic of Korea, which has boosted its cargo transportation to 6,810 flights daily.

Air France Cargo's network covers over 189 world wide destinations with an extensive fleet of aircraft including 11 B747 Freighters.
Air France Cargo has a complete range of loading equipment such as pallets, containers and other specialised units, to meet all customer requirements when it comes to cargo transport.
