China, UK Jointly Launch Health Care Program
Within the four years, the program involves an investment of more than seven million sterling pounds including five million financial credits and two million worth of technology in cooperation.
China and Britain have jointly launched a community health care and poverty relief program in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province recently.
The program, now being implemented on trial basis in Shenyang and two other Chinese cities, was agreed upon by governments of the two countries in November last year.
Within the four years, the program involves an investment of more than seven million sterling pounds including five million financial credits and two million worth of technology in cooperation.
According to local officials, the program is expected to help the social weak group including the handicapped, senior citizens, women and children improve their basic health and medical care.
