China Willing to Enhance Ties with Indonesia
Chinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen said Thursday that China attaches great importance to developing bilateral relations with Indonesia and hopes the relations will cover all fields.

Both of the countries could benefit from exchanges and cooperation, he said at a meeting here with an Indonesian delegation led by Sukamdani Sahid Gitosardjono, general chairman of the Association of Indonesia-China Economic Social and Cultural Cooperation.
Qian said that many Asian nations have a long history and glorious civilization. Although they are confronted with many difficulties in developing themselves, most of the countries have promising prospects.
After entering the World Trade Organization, China is willing to abide by the globally uniform trade rules in enhancing its own economy, he said.
Sukamdani said that he was deeply impressed by China's great economic achievements in the past two decades.
He said he hopes that China would play a bigger role in the Asian Pacific Region and the world as large.
