Tianjin Tai Da's goalkeeper Jiang Jin may join his compatriot Fan Zhiyi to play for Scottish Dundee FC in the near future, the club revealed Thursday in Tianjin.

The first division club was in close negotiation with Dundee for a transfer package, which also involved mutual visits of the two clubs and communications between junior teams, Tai Da club sources said.

"Everything is going well. We are optimistic about the transfer talk." an official of the club said.

With the transfer talk well under way, Jiang is expected to become the second Chinese to arrive in the Dens Park after former Crystal Palace player Fan Zhiyi made his appearance in the six-placed club on October 26.

Fan, one of the most popular players in China, recently led his country to qualification for the 2002 World Cup finals.

Fan said:"I must play regularly so that I could retain my form. I think matches in Scotland will be of higher level than those in British first division."
