France Dispatches Humanitarian Mission to Afghanistan

France has sent a mission to Afghanistan to make an assessment on humanitarian needs in the country, French minister in charge of government's relations with the parliament, Jean-Jack Queyranne, announced Wednesday in Paris.

France has sent a mission to Afghanistan to make an assessment on humanitarian needs in the country, French minister in charge of government's relations with the parliament, Jean-Jack Queyranne, announced Wednesday in Paris.

"The mission of experts", sent by the French Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health, left Paris Tuesday, said Queyranne. France's participation in programs of aid to Afghanistan amounts to about 270 million francs (about 40 million U.S. dollars), he added.
