Entering the World Trade Organization (WTO) is the result of China's unremitting efforts over the past 15 years, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhu Bangzao said Tuesday at a regular press conference.

However, Zhu noted, China's WTO entry was also attributed to the support rendered by the current and previous directors general of WTO, the current and previous chairmen of the WTO General Council and the chairmen of the China working group. "China is very grateful to these people," Zhu said.

Zhu stated that China, as a responsible nation, will implement the commitment and promises related to the WTO after China's entry.

He believed that after China's entry into WTO, the economic cooperation and trade between China and other nations will be further strengthened, which will play an active and constructive role in promoting the growth of the global economy and trade.
