The Chinese-Chilean Institute of Culture on Saturday congratulated China on its entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) after 15 years of negotiations.

"It is out of question that the admission of the People's Republic of China into the WTO will bring beneficial results at internal and international level," the institute said in a greeting message, signed by the organization's Chairman Abelardo Mella Quzada and First Vice-Chairman Dario de la Fuente Duarte.

At the fourth annual conference in Doha, Qatar, the WTO's 142 member states on Saturday formally accepted China into the organization.

The Chinese-Chilean Institute of Culture also highly evaluated the outstanding achievements obtained by the Chinese people in their modernization drive during the last 20 years by carrying out the reform and opening policies.

The institute said it hopes it will share with the Chinese government and its people their joy and satisfaction.

The achievements China has obtained in science, technology, education and the social aspect, together with its devotion to peace and the promotion of good relations among the nations of the world, have assured China of playing a key role in international stability and peacekeeping, the message said.
