The Chinese delegation submitted a credential letter to the WTO Secretariat Saturday night, in which Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji authorizes Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Shi Guangsheng to sign a protocol on China's WTO membership on Sunday.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) invited China to join the world trade club later Saturday after 15 years of arduous negotiations between China and the WTO members.

China's entry will take effect 30 days after the country informed the WTO of the approval of the protocol by its legislature, the National People's Congress.
