CPPCC Chairman Leaves for Three Countries

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), left Beijing Saturday afternoon on an official good-will visit to Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Singapore at the invitation of the governments of the three countries.

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), left Beijing Saturday afternoon on an official good-will visit to Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Singapore at the invitation of the governments of the three countries.

Among those who went to see Li off at the Great Hall of the People were Vice-Premier Qian Qichen, Vice-Chairmen of the CPPCC National Committee Chen Junsheng and Wan Guoquan, and some other officials, as well as diplomatic envoys from the three countries.

Li's entourage includes CPPCC Secretary-General Zheng Wantong, Chairman of the Subcommittee of Human Resources and Environment of the CPPCC National Committee Chen Bangzhu, and some other officials.
