COSCO, First Chinese Company Awarded Three Management Attestation Credentials |

November 6 saw an ISO awarding ceremony for China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO) held jointly in Beijing by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), China Classification Society (CCS) and China Occupational Hygiene Management Authentication Center. In July 2001, COSCO successfully passed the three-party authentication and become the first Chinese company awarded with the three certifications.

November 6 saw an ISO awarding ceremony for China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO) held jointly in Beijing by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), China Classification Society (CCS) and China Occupational Hygiene Management Authentication Center.
In July 2001, COSCO successfully passed the three-party authentication of ISO9001, 2000 Management System, ISO14001, 1996 Environment Management System, OHSMS18001 and 1999/occupational-hygiene management system and become the first Chinese company awarded with the three certifications. As a first company to establish an integrated management system of quality, environment and safety in the light of the three management systems, COSCO has successfully made another management innovation. "We are proud to say our scientific decision-making and management system is always among the best compared with our counterparts," said Wei Jiafu, president of the company.
