BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) -- China has unveiled an ambitious slate of mega-projects in its five-year blueprint, featuring faster bullet trains, homegrown aircraft engines and wide-body jets, AI chips, controllable nuclear fusion, reusable heavy-lift rockets and lunar exploration missions. In the draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) submitted on Thursday to the country's top legislature for examination, China proposes a total of 28 major projects to spearhead the development of new quality productive forces, covering four key areas: upgrading industrial infrastructure, fostering emerging industries, breaking through with cutting-edge technologies, and enhancing innovation capabilities.
