China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine approved for marketing in Tunisia

TUNIS, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Ministry of Health announced on Monday that China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine has been officially approved for marketing in Tunisia. "The Ministry of Health has granted an exceptional and provisional marketing authorization in the Tunisian market for China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine," said a ministry statement.

Country's economic growth set to stay robust

China's soon to-be-released economic growth figure for the first half of the year is expected to stay robust at a double-digit level, as economic momentum accelerated amid steady headway in improving the business climate, officials and economists said. Huang Yanming, director of the research institute of Guotai Junan Securities, a leading domestic investment bank, said China's GDP growth may reach 8 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of the year, as the domestic COVID situation remained broadly under control while external demand stayed strong.

New batch of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines in bulk arrives in Indonesia

JAKARTA, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Another batch of COVID-19 vaccines in bulk produced by Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac has arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten province, Indonesia, the country's Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said on Monday. The Sinovac vaccines in bulk will later be processed by PT Bio Farma, Indonesia's state-owned pharmaceutical company, into ready-to-use vaccines.

Kyrgyzstan receives 2nd batch of Chinese vaccines

BISHKEK, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan on Sunday received the second batch of COVID-19 vaccines from China, the Chinese Embassy in Bishkek said. Chinese Ambassador Du Dewen and Kyrgyz Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov attended the hand-over ceremony at the Manas International Airport on Sunday.
