BEIJING, July 16 (Xinhua) -- China's annual production capacity for COVID-19 vaccines has reached 5 billion doses as of July, said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The country has sent up to 570 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines overseas to aid the global fight against the COVID-19 virus, Tian Yulong, chief engineer at the MIIT, told a press conference.

WINDHOEK, July 15 (Xinhua) -- A batch of 250,000 doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine bought by the Namibian government from China are expected to arrive in the country on Saturday, Namibia's Health Minister, Kalumbi Shangula said Thursday. Shangula said that the distribution of the vaccines will be done over Saturday and Sunday, and the vaccination campaign will resume on July 19 countrywide.
