Nicknamed "kingdom of plants", Yunnan is a place where flowers are seen blooming all the year around. Kunming enjoys a wonderful climate for flower planting, which wins it the name of "Ever-spring City" as well as the "Flower City".

Yunnan is the largest production base of fresh-cut flower of China, with the sales volume of fresh-cut flower in around 50% of the domestic market. The unique climate of winter without bitter cold, summer without intense heat and year without seasons in the region center in Yuxi, Kunming, not only enables the main fresh-cut flowers of the world to be produced massively all year round, but also provides relatively high quality and requires relatively low production facilities, which is an exceptionally gifted advantageous condition for constructing Yunnan into a world production base of flowers.
