BEIJING, Dec. 20 -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met on Friday with visiting Bolivian President Juan Evo Morales Ayma on bilateral ties and cooperation.
Hailing the traditional friendship and fruitful cooperation between China and Bolivia, Li said China is willing to maintain high-level engagements with Bolivia, promote a balanced and rapid growth of bilateral trade, and expand cooperation in areas including energy, agriculture, infrastructure construction and high technology.
Li briefed Morales with China's economic situation, saying China this year stabilized macroeconomic policies while innovating economic macro-control methods, clarified a reasonable range of the economy, adjusted social expectation, ensured economic growth and employment while preventing inflation from occurring, and saw steady development.
China is well on its way to accomplishing this year's major economic and social development goals, the premier noted.
Chinese economy is well positioned to keep stable growth and realize sustained and sound development, which will bring broader prospect for China's cooperation with other countries, the premier added.
Morales said Bolivia shares broad common interests with China and a solid foundation for bilateral ties. Bolivia admires China's remarkable development and its positive role in global affairs, and thanks China for invaluable assistance to Bolivia's economic and social development.
Bolivia will expand friendly and reciprocal cooperation with China and promote greater progress of Bolivia-China relations, he said.
