The taskforce of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN) concluded its five-day-long goodwill visit to Argentina and left Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, for China on November 3, 2013.
The Chinese naval taskforce which is composed of the guided missile destroyer "Lanzhou", the guided missile frigate "Liuzhou" and the comprehensive supply ship "Poyang Lake". So far, the taskforce has wrapped up its visit to three South American countries, namely, Chile, Brazil and Argentina.
During the visit, the Chinese officers and men visited the Almirante Brown-class destroyer "La Argentina" and the Espora-class corvette "Spiro". The Chinese taskforce held a deck reception and warship open day activities on the "Lanzhou" ship.
During the tour of visiting three South American countries, the Chinese naval taskforce visited Valparaiso in central Chile, Rio de Janeiro in south Brazil and Buenos Aires in east Argentina successively.
