Yandai Xie Jie

Yandai Xie Jie is located at the center of Shichahai Conservancy District of history and culture. Its east end begins at Dianmen Street and stretches all the way to the west of Shichahai Lake. It is said that the Qi people who previously lived here loved to smoke tobacco and hookah. Thus the need for good hookah soared and many people opened hookah shops in Xie Jie. The byway earned its name for its pipe-like shape. The long and narrow street looks just like a pipe's stem with its cornered west end resembling the bowl of the pipe. Yandai Xie Jie is the perfect name for such a street.
