Lu hangs up the finished handmade scales on July 16, 2013 in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan province. Lu, 74, has made scales for his lifetime. In Jinggang town, which was the major rice market of old Changsha, every household had handmade scales. Some old residents still get used to using the handmade scales.
