Located in Huayin City, about 120 kilometres east of the city of Xi'an, Mount Hua, one of China's Five Great Mountains, is holy ground for Taoism. It features over 20 Taoist temples, of which the Jade Spring and Zhenyue Palaces are the most famous. It has five peaks, east, west, south, north and central, of which the highest is the South Peak at 2154.9m. Aside from these elements, it is also one of the nine best places to see the sun rise in China. Chaoyang Peak is the best place to watch the sunrise. (China.org.cn)
