Post race, thousands of exhausted runners were dismayed to face a five kilometer walk to the nearest subway stop. Yes, people complained, but nobody complained too angrily. Because after all was said and done, the festival was a perfect excuse to get out and active on a beautiful day, to hook up with old friends and meet new ones. People just rolled their eyes before daydreaming about how they would run at next year's event.
