Longshan Period tombs discovered in Shandong (2)

A jar is unearthed in an ancient tomb that dates back to the Longshan Period, the late period of the Neolithic Age (2900 BC to 2100 BC), in Yantai, Shandong Province, April 9, 2013. The Longshan Culture made great advancements in the area of pottery making, with black pottery being one of the more striking examples of this remarkable culture. (CNS/Jia Wei)
