Alibaba's transaction volume in 2012 reaches 1 trln yuan (6)

During a media briefing on Dec. 3, 2012, the Alibaba Group, which owns Tmall.com and its consumer-to-consumer (C2C) counterpart Taobao.com, announced that the transaction volume of the two platforms has reached one trillion RMB (about 161 billion U.S. dollars) by the end of November 2012, ranking after east China's Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province in terms of social consumption goods retail volume as compared to the number of 2011.(Xinhua/Huang Zongzhi)
