Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher on Sunday held Israel responsible for an earlier suicide attacks inIsrael's coastal city of Tel Aviv.

"The Israelis should understand that the continuation of abuses (against the Palestinians) fuels violence and the continuation of operations such as the one today," Maher told reporters after meeting with Yossi Sarid, head of Israel's Meretz left-wing party, and former Israeli Justice minister Yossi Beilin.

"Egypt condemns all attacks on civilians whether they are Palestinians -- which is most often the case -- or Israeli civilians," Maher said.

The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) condemned the attacks, saying it will firmly confront those who carried out the attacks and those who were behind them.
