BEIJING, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng on Thursday called for accelerating the improvement of the country's healthcare security system.
Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks at a symposium held at the National Healthcare Security Administration.
He stressed sticking to the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, taking solid steps to boost healthcare security and contributing more to the improvement of people's wellbeing.
Expedited efforts should be made to put in place a healthcare security system that embodies the strengths of China's socialist system, Han said.
