On Sept. 17, the launching ceremony of the 2019 National Science Popularization Day was held at the Municipal Science and Technology Museum in Pu'er City.

Lu Ping, deputy secretary of the Pu'er Municipal Party Committee, attended and delivered a speech. Many guests attended the ceremony, including Yin Lingyun, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Ma Chunhua, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, Du Jianhui, deputy mayor of the Municipal Government, and Wang Xuewen, vice chairman of the Municipal People's Political Consultative Committee. Du Jianhui presided over the ceremony.
