Terrifying: 7-year-old kid Stuffed in Duffle Bag, nearly Kidnapped Outside Her Home

A 7-year-old girl was almost abducted by a man in the stairwell of the apartment building she lived with her parents on March 23, 2016, in northwest China's Gansu province.

The little girl's mom said she pressed the gate button to let her daughter downstairs in after she buzzed. Yet she waited for some 20 minutes and there was no sight of her daughter. That was when they realized something was wrong to the little girl. The mother notified the building management immediately. After reviewing CCTV footage, they found a male stranger with a black duffle bag. The security guard caught the man right on the spot and confronted him. The man dumped the bag in the stairwell and quickly fled away. The little girl was then found unconscious in the bag.

The police arrested the man the day after the incident. The 25-year-old man later told the police he was jobless and knew the little girl’s parents are running a store. He planned to ask for some 100,000 RMB as a ransom for the release of the girl.
