The perfectly timed photos capture the stunning moment when lightning strikes Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest structure in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Mohammad Azmi, a Dubai-based photographer shot this from the top of a building nearby. Burj Khalifa skyscraper stands at 829.8 meters as the highest man-made structure in the world.

According to Azmi, the most difficult part was selecting the shoot location. “We thought of going up on a rooftop, but there was the risk of getting struck by lightning instead of shooting a lighting strike,” Azmi said.

Azmi and his friend eventually decided to go on a rooftop of a 56-floor building and braved the thunderstorm in order to take these magnificent pictures.
