Russian designer Asya Kozina has captured the attention of the fashion market by making spectacular wedding dresses out of plain white paper.

Kozina, who lives in Tosno, a town in Leningrad Oblast, Russia, has been crafting these delicate artworks for nine years. And it usually takes her months to complete one dress.

Kozina has managed to make five traditional Kazakh-style wedding dresses that will be presented at fashion shows and exhibitions in Almaty in southern Kazakhstan.

“Paper is a very beautiful and very neglected material, although it's hard to work with,” Asya said. “This is art for art’s sake, aesthetics for aesthetics--no practical sense, but they are beautiful,” she added.
