A woman has been offered free popcorn for life at the cinema chain owned by China’s richest man after she complained on social media that she was not given a full portion of the snack at one of its movie theaters.

Wang Sicong, the son of Chinese tycoon Wang Jianlin, who controlled the company responded to the post about an hour later.


"In the future, when you go to the cinema just say my name. You will enjoy free popcorn of a lifetime," Wang Sicong wrote on his Weibo(Screenshot).
It is not clear if the Wang junior was serious in his offer or only speaking in jest. The social media post has been reposted for over 68,080 times.
According to the photo of the two tickets published by the woman, the branch of the cinema chain she was complaining about is Luoguang Wanda Cinema, which is located in Guangzhou province.The woman’s real name has not been mentioned.
