Gongbei Customs disclosed the “2.11” gang smuggling case at a press conference on Tuesday. A total of 2,000 tons of dried fruits and 195 tons of crystals have been seized by the customs, which are worth 1.02 billion yuan.

In early 2014, Gonghai Customs received a report that a company in Zhongshan had smuggled crystals to seek huge profits. Customs officers immediately carried out investigation.

The investigators found that the company which is the sales agent of ASFOUR crystal sold far more crystals than it had imported. After one year’s investigation, the customs finally broke up six smuggling rings.
