Teachers always hear different excuses why students didn't do their homework. But this one might be the best ever.

In England little Maddie's parents sent a note to her teacher explaining why she missed her homework and the reason is very compelling. Her grandfather is Tomas Lindahl and he had just won a Nobel Prize in chemistry.

The note written to the school by her parents stated: "Please give Maddie one more day to complete her homework. We had some big family news and did not get to it."

The Chemistry prize was received by three scientists for their work on genetic repair - Tomas Lindahl, Paul Modrich and Aziz Sancar.

The note has been viewed on Imgur by almost 1.5 million people. Some netizens didn't seem to believe the excuse. "I am keeping that one under the best excuses for my future children for when I am a slacker parent," a netizen commented.

However, according to a British media survey up to 80 percent of netizens believed that it was an amazing reason and her teacher should accept it.
