BEIJING, Oct. 18 (People’s Daily Online) -- Pakistan is implementing the One Belt One Road Initiative through China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and a series of projects to achieve win-win result, according to Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Special Rapporteur of International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) and Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
In a video interview with People's Daily Online on Oct. 16, Mushahid Hussain said he has been to China for more than 60 times. His first visit to China was in 1970 when he was the President of Youth Friendship League of Pakistan. Besides, he set up the Radio Beijing Listeners' Club and bought a short wave radio to listen to the radio programs in English and Urdu. "Every time I come to China I learn something new. I am not an expert on China. I am always a student of China. ” said Mushahid Hussain.
When talking about the role of One Belt One Road Initiative in boosting the China-Pakistan bilateral ties, Mushahid Hussain said: “China and Pakistan agree to develop China-Pakistan Economic Corridor which mainly involves cooperation of four aspects: energy, infrastructure, economic zone and fiber optic. Last week, Pakistan established a Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor covering all the political parties and all the provinces, which gains the understanding and support of the people. I was very pleased to be elected as the President of the Committee. We know the Belt and Road Initiative is a fate changer and will bring Pakistan a bright future. ”
21 century is Asian century. The peaceful rise of China is an incentive to small and medium-sized states. Chinese Dream converges with Pakistan Dream to create a better future for both of us, according to Mushahid Hussain.
