The iconic Myohyangsan area in Pyongyang, DPRK
DPRK leader Kim Jong Un has given a special permission to China’s ‘Great Men Wax Museum’ to build an exhibition hall in the iconic Myohyangsan area, according to the museum’s president Zhang Molei.
In an exclusive interview with Global Times on Tuesday, Zhang said Myohyansan was the birth place of former DPRK leader Kim Jong Il and it is a divine place in the hearts of Korean people. It attracts tourists from all over the world with its beautiful sceneries and historical significances.
Zhang said constructions of any buildings in the Myohyangsan area need to get special permission from the top leader, adding now his museum has already signed a cooperation agreement with its DPRK counterpart in regarding to the design and exhibition works.
The proposed 5000 square meter exhibition hall will be divided into three sections : The Revolutionary History, Friendship with world countries and Awards to national heroes and model citizens.
The convolutional history section will mainly showcase the country’s historical records and statues of former great leaders , while the friendship part will show pictures and features of those world leaders who have visited the country and the award section will be dedicated to national heroes and role models.
The exhibition hall will be an advanced modern art center upon its completion , Zhang emphasized.
