China’s E-commerce Transactions Hit 16 Trillion in 2014

China’s e-commerce transactions reached 16 trillion yuan in 2014, up 59.4 percent year on year, according to National Bureau of Statistics' report.

Business-to-business e-commerce platforms (built for the use of the corporations themselves) constitute 8.72 trillion, seeing an increase of 65.9 percent. Third-party e-commerce platforms constitute 7.01 trillion, 53.8 percent more than 2013.

E-commerce platforms that are built both the for use of the corporations themselves and third-parties (a new mix of e-commerce platform) constitute 0.66 trillion yuan, which increased by 41.4 percent.
