Police in the city of Shenzhen in south China's Guangdong Province, have recovered another 3.65 million HK dollars (470,000 U.S. dollars) worth of ransom money paid to kidnappers in Hong Kong in a high-profile kidnapping case.

28-year-old Queenie Rosita Law, granddaughter of Hong Kong tycoon Law Ting-pong was abducted by a group that broke into their home on April 25. She was later released on April 28.

Police say the recovered amount was about 13 percent of the 28 million HK dollar ransom that had been paid. The stash of cash was found together with some jewelry that belonged to the hostages in a mountainous area in Luohu, Shenzhen, on May 16.

The kidnappers had hidden the money there while fleeing to Shenzhen from Hong Kong.

Two days earlier, about 2.8 million HK dollars (361,200 U.S. dollars) of the ransom was recovered in Guangdong's Huidong County in the city of Huizhou.

9 people involved in the kidnapping case have been arrested so far.

The police in Shenzhen say they'll work together with Hong Kong police to trace the remaining 20 million HK dollars' ransom as well as other suspects at large.
