Chinese enterprise Huawai held the 3rd eLTE Industry Alliance Summit in Barcelona on May 18th, 2015, attracting more than 200 industry peers. Under the theme of "Visible & Convergent, eLTE for Better Connected Industries", the summit shared insights on current trends around global broadband trunking standards, the alliance's latest developments and cooperation achievements, and eLTE solutions best practices from Huawei and partners across various industries.

LTE technology refers to wireless communication long term evolution technology, which is also called the "quasi-4G". The 4G network we usually talk about is based on LET technology. Able to satisfy high-level network requirements, eLTE solutions proposed by Huawai have been widely applied to areas including safe city, Industry 4.0 intelligent factories, and intelligent transportation, helping governments and business customers to continuously improve their operating efficiency and security.

Leon He, President of Huawei West European Enterprise Business, told People's Daily that currently, emergency communication, public services and facilities, intelligent city and several other areas have an increasing demand for eLTE technology. The eLTE Industry Alliance initiated by Huawei aims to integrate the research findings of the industry, integrate resources and technology, and drive the development and application of broad-band wireless private network technology.

Huawei and its cooperative partners have applied eLTE solutions to many areas. For example, in 2013, Huawei and Nanjing Huikuan jointly researched and developed the broad-band wireless government affairs private network of Nanjing, which has played an important role in improving city management and emergency response ability. Internationally, the eLTE solutions proposed by Huawei are also welcomed. For example, an eLTE solution has provided a stable and smooth network for the live broadcasting of a yachting race in Germany; it also provides wireless broadband network for rural residents and enterprises in Spain with a broadband speed that is as fast as urban areas.
